Online staring contest with strangers
Yawnfox lets you have a staring contest with a random stranger over a free video chat, right in your browser. You both look into your cameras, and face detection running on each person’s own device ends the round as soon as someone blinks, smiles or looks away.

How to play
- Open the video chat and confirm your age.
- Allow your camera and microphone, add topics if you like, and press Start to meet a random stranger.
- Once you are connected, tap Games and choose Staring Contest. The stranger has 20 seconds to accept.
- Look at the camera with your eyes open. When both faces are ready, relax your face for a moment while your device learns how your face looks at rest.
- Keep staring. The first to blink, smile, look away or leave the tab loses; if you both slip at the same moment, it is a draw.
Rules and requirements
- Face detection runs only in your browser, on your own camera image.
- The other player receives your video, as in any call, plus a rough outline of your face so it can be drawn on their screen, and short messages saying that you are ready, or that you lost and why.
- Turning your head too far or leaving the camera frame for a moment counts as looking away.
- Both of you need your cameras on: this game is played on camera.
