Play Battleship online with a random opponent
Yawnfox lets you play Battleship against a random stranger during a free video chat, right in your browser. Each of you hides five ships on a 10 × 10 grid, then you take turns firing one shot at a time, and the first to sink every ship wins.

How to play
- Open the video chat and confirm your age.
- Allow your camera and microphone, add topics if you like, and press Start to meet a random stranger.
- Once you are connected, tap Games and choose Battleship. The stranger has 20 seconds to accept.
- Place your fleet on your 10 × 10 grid: a carrier (5 cells), a battleship (4), a cruiser (3), a submarine (3) and a destroyer (2), each running across or down.
- When both fleets are placed, take turns firing at the stranger’s grid; the inviter fires first. Every shot comes back as a hit or a miss.
- A ship sinks when all of its cells are hit. Sink all 17 cells of the stranger’s fleet to win.
Rules and requirements
- Ships may touch but may not overlap or run off the grid.
- Turns alternate after every shot, hit or miss.
- Your fleet stays on your device; only the result of each shot is sent.
- Your camera can be on or off while you play, but you need to allow camera and microphone access to start the video chat.
Questions
Who fires first?
Whoever sends the invite fires first.
Can the other player see where my ships are?
No. Your fleet stays on your device; the other player only learns whether each shot hit or missed, and which cells a sunk ship covered.
